12 Things You need for your PMP® exam prep
- DO NOT try new foods, no new supplements, no new medications… 10 days before your exam. Now might be a good time to stop listening to stangers on social media!
- Practice writing your brain dump before the test date. Confidence is everything!
- Schedule ample time to get to the testing center - traffic and unexpected events can take time and create stress (see pt. 7 for details)
- Dress in layers - Some testing centers have the AC running - dress in layers for on-site testing so you feel comfortable physically during your test. (flip flops migh not work)
- If you have any disabilities - you may be entitled to a special arrangement for your test. (this is case based and also needs to be approved by PMI medical team)
- If you have any medical conditions - you may be entitled to a special arrangement for your test. (this is case based and also needs to be approved by PMI medical team)
- If on the way to your exam you get sick or have a situation that prevents your arrival to your test -- contact the testing agency and contact PMI. (no promises on what retake will look like)

- If you are confident - Your brain dump is in your head - if you did the preparation prescribed, you will most likely ace the exam.
- Do not take books and papers into the testing center/test area/test room - this is not an open-book exam.
- Have strategies for addressing stress - here is a good resource on strategies for stress relief: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/how-manage-stress-6-good-ways-5-bad-reduce-best-way-sauer-md-nd/ (relaxing music for study is appropriate)
- Pack snacks/ drinks that give you energy. (don't try crazy ideas suggested on internet)
- At all times - follow the instructions of the test proctor. (if you start test before they TELL you to start they will report it to PMI and that gets you an automatic failed exam)
